A Ford Explorer believed to have been the object of a police pursuit on Highway 24 crashed into another vehicle at the bottom of the Oak Hill Road off-ramp Thursday – sparking a guns-up arrest by Lafayette police and a foot pursuit that brought more police, a helicopter and canine teams to the area.
It was not immediately known what brought the Explorer to the attention of police. An unidentified female suspect was taken into custody and then to a local hospital for a precautionary examination while a male companion managed to elude the police cordon.
The incident kicked off at approximately 6:52 p.m.
Thought the helicopter was coming down our chimney.
Another 24 chase.
Seems like a daily issue on the 24.

Crazy days
I fear for my life every day I drive to work and at work.
I blame Gavin Newsom
People have no respect for Police and no sympathy for anyone
Is Newsom out there with us?
He is not out there. He is at the French laundry. However, his policies are definitely out there.
He reduced the prison population.

I agree with Cherry
… and in Oakland, where I have to drive to work, now ousted corrupt Mayor Shen Thao did a lot of damage by neutering the police department.
Time for a re-boot of “24”. Jack Bauer would not stand for this.
Criminal
That had our full attention.
We’ll bet! Yours and several hundred others, apparently!
Hopefully my neighbor signed up for alerts – he was reading mine all night!!
Ha! Bunch of new folks joined us overnight…
More readers for me to educate.
