A Ford Explorer believed to have been the object of a police pursuit on Highway 24 crashed into another vehicle at the bottom of the Oak Hill Road off-ramp Thursday – sparking a guns-up arrest by Lafayette police and a foot pursuit that brought more police, a helicopter and canine teams to the area.

It was not immediately known what brought the Explorer to the attention of police. An unidentified female suspect was taken into custody and then to a local hospital for a precautionary examination while a male companion managed to elude the police cordon.

The incident kicked off at approximately 6:52 p.m.

I agree with Cherry ? … and in Oakland, where I have to drive to work, now ousted corrupt Mayor Shen Thao did a lot of damage by neutering the police department.
