Fatal Fire In Concord Under Investigation Wednesday

Firefighters responding to a report of a house fire in the 2600 block of Saratoga Avenue in Concord on Wednesday came upon the body of an individual outside the residence as well as an apparent gas leak.

The unidentified victim was pronounced deceased at the scene with fire and police conducting a joint investigation, terming the death “not suspicious.” Witnesses reported the affected home was equipped with some sort of shop though it was not immediately known for what purpose.

The incident was reported at approximately 6:15pm.
