This Town, Is Looking Like a Ghost Town – Where IS Everyone?
Admittedly childless and out of sync with local school calendars we thought we would let The Specials ask what we have been thinking for the last week or so: Where’d everyone go?
Is it spring break already? Local kids abandoning our parks and playgrounds for a well-deserved sojourn South of the Border and on to Coco Bongo? Parents abandoning the flatlands for Tahoe? People losing their jobs or fearful of losing them? The local clubs seem empty, our stores seem to not be busy and traffic around town seems lighter than normal. Things seem – off.
What’s going on? Any ideas?

About 40 percent of our office is out sick?? Flu?
I don’t know where you all were today but it Walnut Creek today – Thursday -it was crazy, hectic everywhere.. the roads, the stores, the parks. Or are you in sleepy Moraga?
No one seems to be in a very festive mood. I’m not surprised things are quiet.
Well, the convo about the current efforts to dismantle finally generated a PowerPoint presentation at corporate headquarters this week. Blyat! Excellent choice of music. bee-tee-dubs! Rest in peace, Terry Hall John Bradbury, and Rico Rodriguez. Pick it up!
Was out in Walnut Creek Saturday night and it was hopping. Cruised through Lafayette a couple times over the weekend and there were lots out and about. Wouldn’t be surprised if business has slowed a bit over the last couple years though.
People don’t know if their checks are coming this month. And I know a couple of people who have been layed off.
