Smoke, Water Damage Displaces Some Tenants In Walnut Creek Monday
The fire department turned out for a report of a fire at the Waymark Apartments, 101 Pringle in Walnut Creek tonight, finding smoke on the third floor with the fire suppression sprinklers open and all that water sluicing off into the lower floors.
Crews went to work to mitigate the water intrusion but some residents needed help from the Red Cross to secure shelter. The incident was reported at 5:44p.m.
Traffic on Pringle was impacted.

That’s the trouble with automatic sprinkler systems though. They will often do more damage than the fire would of. I speak from experience. But they surely save lives….but the water damage costs are great.
