A Police Light Show Paints Commercial Lane Saturday

News24/680 Photo

Culmination off a long Saturday in the 24/680 with our photographers racing to and fro and the night ending on Commercial Lane after an Aggravated Battery call on Locust Street in Walnut Creek.

A person was taken into custody, the street taking the lights from police vehicles and re-painting the old brick walls, asphalt, and rain puddles in almost pleasant shades of lavender.

  1. Nice photo! That’s my old office building. Many times I walked through that alley and thought it seemed a ripe location for riff-raff and nonsense after dark.

  2. Okay folks – I’m going to sound like a snob here, but I’m tired of the riff raff coming to Walnut Creek. I suspect a lot of them come off a Bart and just jump the fare gates, others seem to come from Concord on the free #14 bus. (why that bus line is free for those people I don’t know. We have to pay on all the other lines )

    • There is plenty of riff raff that drives into downtown Walnut Creek (including some that live here). Also County Connection has multiple free bus lines including the 4 and 5 which run exclusively within Walnut Creek city limits. I ride the 14 and mostly see people going to and from work.
