Burglars At Work In Danville Overnight

Danville residents reported at least two burglaries within a short distance and time period of each other in their town overnight.

We were made aware of break-ins on Volterra Court (approx 10:15pm) and the 1000 block of McCauley Road (at 10:35pm) with specific items targeted and taken.

While we sometimes hear firsthand details of similar crimes from those victimized no one has reached out on these latest crimes, yet, so we’ll refrain from sharing too much of what we know lest it further jeopardize the victims.

The timing and location of the crimes suggest a certain amount of planning and determination on the part of the criminal(s) involved so we’ll leave it at that, for now.

UPDATE: A fresh burglary was reported the following day, Nov. 23, at 6:16pm in the 2600 block of Caballo Ranchero Drive.

    • I believe this to be an untrue statement. While the center of town may see more patrol hours because of nightlife/alcohol, all areas are patrolled.

    • The old money is on the west side of Danville. Plus many of those houses in that area are tucked way back against the hills & there are multiple exit routes for the bad guys.
