Neighbors reporting “flames on the roof” of a home in the 3400 block of Monroe Avenue in Lafayette early Tuesday morning brought a sizable firefighting response to a blaze that quickly grew to 2-alarms and left two structures damaged – one heavily.
The fire was reported at 4:56 a.m. Tuesday, crews arriving to find a two-story home at 3461 Monroe with heavy smoke and fire on its roof.
Occupants of the home were reported out and safe with flames spreading to an adjacent residence. On-scene commanders called for a 2nd Alarm, bringing additional personal and apparatus to the scene.
Tight in there. Could have been worse.
Quietest fire I’ve never heard.
The old saying goes say “money talks, wealth whispers.” Even the fire engines are discreet in Lafayette!
Lamorinda real estate is HOT, HOT HOT 🔥!
Any word on cause?
