One man was struck and killed by a person in a car outside Bonfare Market in the 2800 block of Grant Street in Concord on Sunday in an incident witnesses said may have been deliberate.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:45p.m. Sunday after a car reportedly veered toward and struck the victim near the gas pumps at the market. Police quickly swarmed into the area, attempting to locate vehicles in the area at the time as well as witnesses.
Police located a car believed to have been used in the assault a short distance away, sealing it off and searching it before sealing off a nearby house and questioning a number of people inside.
The victim is still there.
