Blue Moon/Black Oak

BlueMoonBlackOak

Reader/Photographer Bill Feil turned his camera moonward last night to capture the ascent of our fabled Blue Moon – choosing to shoot the lunar apparition through the leaves of a black oak that he grew from an acorn collected in Briones Park. We liked that.

For you photographic nomenclature enthusiasts Bill used a D3200 equipped with a 300mm zoom to get his shot.

Well done, Bill! The oak leaves make a great foreground (and cool story to boot).

It feels like the open for a Tim Burton movie!
