Anxious moments along Evora Road between Concord and Bay Point Friday afternoon after fire broke out north of Evora near the Diablo Rod & Gun Club. The fire burned approx 150 acres, went to 3-alarms, and prompted an evacuation order for some Bay Point residents. There were no injuries.

I love the 1:45 mark seeing cars and homes “painted” pink.
It annoys me that people are walking around in their bathrobe and using a garden hose instead of packing up and evacuating.

We were also impressed with videographer Craig Cannon’s cinéma vérité style. It was less “news package” and more “mini documentary.”
We pointedly left in the pink Phos-Chek dusting, too, having seen it so often and, once, crash full tilt into a local photographer when an air tanker pilot used him for an aiming stake.
We also felt the visuals you mention were telling, exemplifying the confusion usually accompanying incidents of this type.
