A falling tree brought some electrical lines down with it in the 3100 block of Camino Diablo in Lafayette on Wednesday – darkening homes and traffic signals in the area until PG&E workers could get customers back online.
An estimated 1,400 people were left in the dark when the tree fell into the roadway a little after 1 p.m. A PG&E worker was on scene quickly and attempting to get power restored with success reported in some areas by 2 p.m.
