Io, Io – It’s Into Space We Go

Jupiter

When he’s not shooting earthly news, photographer Sean McDonough turns his lens skyward – capturing our full moon along with Jupiter and ITS moons Saturday evening.

Some folks were trying to pin our earthly shenanigans (stolen car and pursuit down I680 included) on the outwardly innocent full moon, but we’re not so sure – a lot of folks were up and howling at it last night.

As for Jupiter’s moons we can only remember Io, Callisto, Europa and … Ganymeade? There are more. We don’t know what, if any, effect they had on the Jovians last night but we should hear about it in a couple of light years.

Anyway, nice shot. Not exactly LOCAL but, hey, sometimes our interests tend to roam.
