An allegedly over-served motorist lost control of his car and crashed off Warren Road in Walnut Creek Friday night, the car catching fire and attracting police and fire personnel.
The incident was reported at 8:54 p.m. when neighbors caught a glimpse of the Toyota as it sailed through a fence in the 2300 block of Warren Road, crashed, and caught fire – flames throwing sparks into adjacent vegetation in the heavily wooded area.
Firefighters arrived to put the fire out and California Highway Patrol officers arrived to take the driver into custody after he emerged from crash site.
No injuries were reported.
