A motorcyclist was killed on Marsh Creek Road near Three Springs Road in the City of Clayton Sunday, firefighters finding the rider down at 9:09 p.m.
Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters found the rider down on the road at that location. The person was declared dead at the scene.
Police said the motorcycle was traveling eastbound and the rider was unable to negotiate a turn in the roadway, causing the rider to lay the bike down. The motorcycle and the rider left the roadway and collided with a dirt embankment.
