Fog: … a visible aerosol consisting of tiny water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the air at or near the Earth’s surface. Fog can be considered a type of low-lying cloud usually resembling stratus, and is heavily influenced by nearby bodies of water, topography, and wind conditions.

The Weather Service people said it would settle in our inland valleys and they were right. No major problems resulting – that we have been able to pin down, yet – but we would advise caution if you’re driving or perhaps crossing the road when cars are present.
Not everyone appears to have figured out the headlights thing, yet.
