One man was hit and seriously wounded after gunfire broke out in the parking lot of a Contra Costa Boulevard strip mall Friday night. A second man was quickly arrested in connection with the shooting.
The shooting was reported at 8:12 p.m. in the Ellinwood Center mall with a 36-year-old man found on the ground in front of Pizza My Way, suffering from several gunshot wounds after passersby reported hearing a flurry of gunshots fired in the area.
Police closed the intersection of Contra Costa Boulevard and Ellinwood to facilitate their investigation. The wounded man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds. He was reportedly comatose with a severe head wound.
The unidentified 54-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into County Jail.

this gun thing is really working out!
Saw the police and wondered what was happening. It seems we’re seeing a lot more of this lately.
It’s what happens when the laws are NOT enforced by the so called District Attorney!
Fifty four year old men are DANGEROUS. We should ban them all.
God is already working on that.
Fair point.
54 and over or is there an age where the danger subsides? 😀
