Two California Highway Patrol officers suffered minor injuries when they were struck by a fleeing suspect’s vehicle during a traffic stop in Bay Point early Sunday.
The incident took place at around 3:30 a.m. near Bailey Rd. and Canal Rd. Two officers were attempting to make a traffic stop on a blue Subaru Outback when the Subaru driver allegedly accelerated and struck the officers before fleeing the scene.
Injuries to the officers were described as minor, with both treated at a local hospital and released.
The Subaru driver fled the scene. The car was later located abandoned.
A search for the driver was conducted, but came up empty. The incident remained under investigation. No suspect information has been released.
Is there an information blanket in play? I remember the days when the cops and CHP would issue a press release whenever something like this happened? Danville shooting? Anything?
Weekend/Holiday staffing?
I’m not used to this much rain. I keep expecting Morpheus to show up with an offer of a red pill or a blue pill.
We have water lilies growing in our pockets…
Well, horticulturally speaking, they do flourish in dank, noir environments of spent Kleenex and half-smoked cigars:)
As do we… closely related as a species. And rolled your movie recce last night… good!
Comically absurd and scary. This too shall pass…I desperately hope. Tis the season of hope!
Us or Don’t Look Up, which did trigger some major laughter on our part as we recognized players in our ongoing comic opera. Thanks for the recce!
