Crash Involving Big Rig Slams Traffic At 24/680 Wednesday
Traffic is stacking and TV helicopters circling over a nasty accident scene on eastbound Highway 24 west of I680 in Walnut Creek this morning, a car reportedly rear-ending a stalled big rig at full speed.
Additional crashes, fender-benders are being reported in the area and traffic is backing up in both directions. Two lanes are open in the eastbound direction and SigAlerts have been declared. If you can avoid the area, it would be wise to do so.
