Rider Found Dead Aboard Pleasant Hill BART Train Tuesday
Coroner’s deputies are attempting to determine the cause of death for a man found deceased aboard a BART train at Pleasant Hill station Tuesday night.
BART police and workers remained tightlipped about the discovery at the time but a spokesperson has since confirmed that an “unattended fatality” was reported at about 9:15 p.m.
There were no evident signs of foul play.

“Unattended fatality”… What does that really mean? This is a shame. Possibly someone coming home from work who had a heart attack or stroke? Or possibly a street person with a drug overdose?
That’s one of the problems with Bart…. that there are a lot of people riding around slumped in their seats either passed out or sleeping. Can’t really tell if they’re dead or not.
An “unattended fatality” is someone is found dead, and there were no witnesses. Rest in peace.

BART recently announced they have working security cameras on each train so they should have all the answers.
There are certainly lots of cameras out there but the operative word is “working.”
The Collateral reference flashed through my I head too. Unlike the film, though, lotsa people noticed.
Why are officials hushing this up??? It seems to me i there is an issue with bad drugs or powerful drugs they would want to get the news out.
How long was he riding on that train?
Intentional OD or part of this poison fentanyl that’s out there?
