Suspect Arrested After He Crashes Car, Flees On Foot In Alamo

Local officers are aiding deputies and police from Alameda County in their search for a suspect who crashed a stolen car at Livorna Road and Wilson in Alamo before fleeing on foot into the surrounding neighborhood.

UPDATE: The unidentified suspect was apprehended at 5:14 p.m. near the Sugarloaf Open Space.

An Alameda County Sheriff’s helicopter is overhead. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, 18 to 20 years, 5’10” tall and 200 pounds, was last seen running in the direction of Alamo Elementary School, and may have been spotted hopping a fence on Laverock Lane before heading in the direction of the Sugarloaf Open Space.

He came to police attention after allegedly committing a petty theft in Dublin, officers there giving chase.

Police are organizing a search effort at this time.

  1. 5’10” and 200 pounds? If that’s not all muscle I’m impressed he could jump a fence.

  2. That’s almost exactly location of another manhunt with police helicopters etc two months back! What is it about that off-ramp in Alamo!
