Early risers in Moraga were shocked to see a small caravan of police cars thread their way past Campolindo High School and onto quiet Campolindo Drive early Saturday, apparently trailing the operator of a car cruising local neighborhoods.
The car is believed to have tripped an Automated License Plate Reader because officers apparently got some information they were expecting, tailing the car to the 3700 block of Campolindo Drive before stopping it and arresting the driver at gunpoint at around 7 a.m.
Officers are working to develop the background of the car and driver but initial investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen in San Francisco.
“What’s it all about, ALPR?
Is it just for the moment we live?”
I’m singing with my morning coffee.
We’re with you… Stones’re Rolling in The Bunker…
Idyllic Moraga…
Just a little action on a Saturday…
But I don’t understand is how are all these newer cars being stolen?
I thought they had high tech security devices that would not let you start the car without special fob or key electronic codes embeds .
Thieves have developed some hi-tech bypasses and also use some old school lo-tech methods to get their rides…
