Pleasant Hill Driver Arrested For Diving Under The Influence
A driver in Pleasant Hill got into a little hot water after plunging his SUV into a lot of cold water at a city pond early Saturday.
Not a lot was stirring at 5:30 a.m. – luckily – so there were no casualties except to the driver’s pride and probably his insurance premiums. He was taken into custody for DUI and failing to use his klaxon prior to submerging.
As we’ve pointed out local law enforcement is stepping up their effort against wayward boaters and DUI violators – they just didn’t figure on a two-fer so early in the season.

If you’ve ever had someone you love suffer from alcoholism, there’s nothing amusing about this. My heart breaks for the driver and his or her family. Thank God no one was seriously injured.
