Firefighters responding to reports of smoke and fire at the Church of the Nazarene at 1650 Ashbury Road in Concord were met by heavy fire on the roof of the two story building.
The blaze was first reported at 5:32 a.m. and quickly went to 2-alarms. There have been no initial reports of injuries but roads in the immediate area have been closed so that fire apparatus can maneuver.
Lot of fire lately.
I was across the street when I got your flash alert. Looked out just as part of the roof appeared to collapse, Hope no one injured.
