Organized shoplifting crews have been pillaging local stores and chains in recent months, making off with thousands and sometimes tens of thousands of dollars worth of loot.
Things went badly for two women who allegedly returned to an Ulta store in San Ramon where employees recognized them as members of a Bay Area wide theft ring. The suspects were wearing the same clothes and using the same (empty) baby carrier from previous thefts. They were found to be in possession of over $8,000 worth of cosmetics from numerous Ulta stores.
San Ramon police say the pair are facing numerous felonies in multiple jurisdictions.
