A 52-year-old Danville man died Sunday after a bicyclist lost control and fell in front of the victim’s motorcycle while he was driving south on San Ramon Valley Boulevard near the intersection of Fountain Springs Drive.
Police said the bicyclist was riding in the southbound bike lane when they lost control and fell into the motorcyclist’s path at about 12:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was unable to avoid the bicyclist and also crashed, suffering serious injuries.
The motorcyclist was identified as Carmen Seppy of Danville.
Firefighters and paramedics were called but Seppy was pronounced dead at the scene. The bicyclist suffered minor injuries, according to police, and was taken to San Ramon Regional Medical Center for treatment.
No charges have been filed in connection with the incident, police said.
San Ramon Valley Boulevard was closed between Fountain Springs Drive and Elworthy Ranch Road while the investigation into the incident was conducted.
