Walnut Creek Police Make Arrests In Newell Avenue Attempted Murder Case

On July 7, 2020, the Walnut Creek Police Department arrested a person in connection with an attempted homicide that occurred in the city on May 21, 2020.

During the course of the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 19-year-old Fayshan Segi. In partnership with FBI Safe Streets Violent Gang Task Force, Daly City PD, San Francisco PD, and Antioch PD, Segi was located and arrested in Antioch. Detectives located three firearms, several high capacity magazines, numerous items from identity theft and more than 2 pounds of marijuana. Segi was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for attempted murder. His bail is currently set at $1,100,000.

Lovell Bronson, who police say was with Segi at the time of arrest, was also arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana for sale and identity theft related charges.
