Okay, we’ll admit right out of the starting gate that we don’t know what type of road machine this is but we’d be willing to bet the gear jammers among this readership do.
Driver got into a spot of trouble while climbing the onramp to northbound I680 at El Pintado this morning and rolled it – we understand – which drew the police and a wrecker, as you might expect.
Driver escaped uninjured but we imagine some shock may set in when he gets the repair bill for this slightly thrashed little beauty.
Oddly, or perhaps not so, local reader/realtor Rachael Hand happened to be caught in the traffic jam after this crash when she got our Flash Alert – prompting her to ask if we were deliberately triggering incidents as she happened to roll past.
Of course not, Rachael, though we’ve taken the idea into consideration – cuts down on photo processing time. (Thanks for thinking of us… again!)
Looks like a late 2000’s Dodge Viper.
Looks like consensus, Chris, with all car experts on Facebook squeaking in with the win! We never would have guessed Dodge… shows what we know!
Viper which is known to bite the rookie throttle jockeys hard in situations just like that👍. Track days always involve lining up to watch a new Viper owner get learned by his car😆
Whoa… we can get the old News Gremlin up to about 62 mph downhill and with a favorable wind…
My guess is that someone’s insurance premium is poised for adjustment…………upwards or in the alternative, policy cancellled!
Not for off-road.
