Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) will livestream its public update on the county’s first confirmed death linked to COVID-19 at 10 a.m.
The patient died Thursday in a hospital in Contra Costa County. The Contra Costa resident was in their 70s and had a pre-existing condition that put them at higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19, and a history of recent overseas travel.
Contra Costa Health Services will livestream the media conference on its Facebook page.
Condolences and good health to the friends and family.
Indeed, CDA, well said…
It seems like they are projecting more deaths. HOW MANY MORE?
Hoping these drastic measures were all taking will do some good. Or are we just postponing the inevitibile?
Travelled to Europe recently but CCHS won’t say where or when they returned.
Issues with their stream?
These poor families.
My cousin is 26 years old in in great health. She exercises every day, eats well etc. She is currently in the hospital struggling to breath with this virus. So it hits the young and healthy too.
What a nightmare. We’re so sorry. Best to her and her family and friends. Hoping for a way out of this thing, soon…
Is she local? How awful. We are praying for all of you……
