Ed: We’ve been getting reports of “pellets” or “BBs” or “Airsoft” thingees bouncing off cars and homes recently and it appears at least one alleged perpetrator has been tracked down:
At 9:50 pm (Monday), a Concord PD Officer spotted the suspect vehicle driving on Clayton Rd. near Thornwood Dr. and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be a juvenile and was placed under arrest for shooting at occupied dwellings and vehicles. The suspect was later sent to Juvenile Hall for the offenses.
We are currently investigating several instances of someone firing a BB or pellet gun at residences and parked vehicles in the N. Larwin/Cowell Rd area and Clayton area. We believe this is a 2002-2005 GMC YUKON, dark green or black.
