On Monday, March 11, 2019, a hiker contacted Office of the Sheriff Dispatch to report finding human skeletal remains in a wooded/hillside area in south Lafayette. Police recovered the remains and they were given to the Coroner’s Division for identification.
The remains were subsequently identified as 57-year-old Donald Booth of Lafayette. Booth was reporting missing to the Lafayette Police Department in January.
There are no signs of any foul play in this case.
