Police Search For Strongarm Robbery Suspects In Walnut Creek Friday
Officers searched for two suspects who allegedly stole a cell phone and wallet from a victim near Parkmead Elementary School Friday evening.
The robbery was reported at 7:10 p.m. with two suspects, reported as a black male and a hispanic male in their 20s, confronting and robbing their victim with force. No weapon was seen.
A search for the suspects, reportedly carrying a military-style bag with broken straps, was underway as this was written (7:59 p.m.)

Welcome to the ‘new’ Walnut Creek…..and I’m sorry to predict, but it’s only going to get worse. Panhandlers on one corner, crooks on the other. City has sure changed in just the last five years alone. And not for the good. Despite hundreds of millions of dollars being spent on glitzi shopping and housing on one end, somehow the town also also seems to be very welcoming of all the grunge to flood in at the other end of things.
