Police from Walnut Creek and Lafayette descended on a carload of individuals suspected of an armed robbery at the Tice Valley CVS store in Walnut Creek Sunday, chasing the car into Lafayette and arresting three people who fled from the vehicle.
At least two people were arrested in the 900 block of Reliez Station Road with officers taking them into custody at gunpoint. A third suspect, described as a black male in his 40s or 50s wearing blue hospital scrubs, ran north from the scene and was eventually taken into custody in the area of Pleasant Hill Road and Highway 24.
Details are extremely sketchy as the incident was only just reported (8 p.m.) and apparently only just now brought to a conclusion.
No injuries were reported. We’ll be updating this story as additional details surface.
