Firefighters and PG&E workers remain on scene of a pre-dawn house fire that broke out in Lafayette Thursday morning – the latest in a string of fires in the 24/680.
First responders were summoned to a residence in the 3200 block of Withers Ave. shortly before 4 a.m. and were met with fire burning in the attic of the home upon arrival.
Crews were able to gain the upper hand on the blaze by 4:20 a.m.
There were no reports of injuries, but officials expressed concern about about some active power lines in the area.
PG&E workers are still at the scene (5:30 a.m.)
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
