In a release issued Wednesday by San Ramon Police Lt. Cary Coldberg, investigators name Trevor Michael Berryman of San Leandro as a suspect in the shooting of another, unidentified man the evening before the bullet-scarred Jeep Cherokee was found, a blood trail leading away from the area.

This site reported a subsequent police effort to find a person of interest in that case that day, and neighbors provided a photo of the car. Officers said the unidentified victim had abandoned the car and sought treatment for unspecified injuries at a local hospital.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. Berryman for attempted murder and conspiracy after looking into the case.

They are still looking for a black, four door, 2009 Mercedes-Benz, License number: CA 6UWK467 they say was used during the crime.

If anybody has any information related to this case, or knows the whereabouts of Mr. Berryman and or his vehicle, please contact the San Ramon Police Department at (925) 973-2779.

    • @B – We have no hard data to suggest an uptick in incidents but anecdotally at least you don’t have to travel far on our pages to see what’s been happening. We may be in a news cycle or something may be developing in that part of the valley.

  1. From the pic, that’s a limited edition, rare Mercedes E63 AMG- not just ANY black 4 door Mercedes. Need to have that included in vehicle description. Also, I don’t know of many 21 year olds that can afford such a car.

  2. Wow I went to high school with him, I remeber having the same honors chemistry class. He was a bright kid, just made some bad choices
