A former Dublin High School student surrendered to local police Thursday after investigators developed information that she had used her cell phone in a threat to “blow up” the school earlier in the day.
Taylor Pearson, 20, reportedly told police she phoned in the threat to school district offices at about 1:40 p.m. Thursday after reading a social media account relating to the reported abuse of a female student at Dublin High. Pearson was reportedly unhappy with the way police investigated that incident.
As a result of the threat, Dublin High was evacuated and searched by teams of officers using canine team and aerial drones. The campus was finally restored to order at about 4:30 p.m. No explosive device of any kind was found.
Pearson was arrested on a charge of making a bomb threat and taken to Santa Rita Jail.
