San Ramon police are looking for witnesses to a serious auto versus pedestrian accident at Blueheart Way and Bollinger Canyon Road Saturday evening – a collision which has left the 15-year-old male victim in critical condition.
Officers found the pedestrian on Bollinger Canyon Road suffering from significant injuries that evening, according to a department spokesman, and he was ultimately transported by medical helicopter to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
Investigators said the unidentified youth was was crossing Bollinger Canyon at Blueheart Way, from north to south when he was struck by the vehicle, which was traveling west on Bollinger Canyon Road. The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with police, according to investigators.
The San Ramon Police Department Traffic Division is looking into the cause of the collision.
