First Moraga, Then Orinda… Tonight They’re Digging In Lafayette

Lamorindans are getting used to the sound of jackhammers in the night of late – and tonight was apparently no exception as NEWS24/680 reader Pamela Dunn caught this crew in action on Stanley Boulevard off Pleasant Hill Road Wednesday.

We shushed readers who suggested that Lafayette may be next for a late-night fix after a sinkhole plunged a large portion of Moraga into chaos in March and another appeared in Orinda after a main break on Glorietta Boulevard.

Not sure how many, if any, nearby homes were without water tonight but we’re sure we’ll hear soon.

And today in Orinda again, this time into our very newly paved street. Glad they spent so much money paving over the systemic problem, only to have it dug up four weeks later.

    Boggles the mind.
