Danville police are investigating a disturbing case of child abuse recorded by an in-home “Nanny Cam” and witnessed remotely by the child’s parents.
Officers were dispatched to a home on Bordeaux Ct at 2:32 p.m. Monday after receiving the parent’s report of a caregiver abusing an infant.
Investigation revealed that the parents saw the caregiver strike and shake a 10-month-old infant via the camera. The infant was transported to San Ramon Regional as a precaution and the caregiver, identified as Mikayla Ririe, 23, of Antioch, was taken into custody on suspicion of child abuse.
She was taken to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.
Can we get a Chihuahua rescue story once in a while? Please?
That’s awful. I hope she’s prosecuted so she will have a criminal record that will prevent her from ever working with children again.
That’s terrible. Harming a baby breaks my heart.
Horrific. I can not imagine what I would have done in their situation.
I just don’t know how anyone could do that to a little baby like that. Sick.
Far too many sketchy people out there. You never know who you are hiring.
I would be wanting some serious payback if that had been my child.
