A San Ramon woman has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and carjacking for her role in an attempted carjacking incident early Saturday morning.
Investigators said Nava Simon, 21, was arrested without incident at her home on Tuesday. Both Simon and her alleged accomplice, transient Paul Lodestein, 20, were booked on the charges at the Martinez Detention Facility.
Lodestein was arrested by San Ramon police shortly after he allegedly brandished a firearm and stole a car from the a victim he confronted in the Safeway parking lot at 11060 Bollinger Canyon Rd.
Lodestein was allegedly driving westbound on Bollinger in the victim’s car shortly after the initial incident was reported at 2:37 a.m. when he was spotted and surrounded. A weapon on undetermined type was recovered, according to police.
Both Lodestein and Simon remain in custody with bail set at $150,000 each.
