Sheriff’s deputies and police responded to a home in the 2500 block of Roundhill Drive Sunday after a homeowner reported being confronted by at least one armed intruder in the garage of his home – the gunman’s face covered by a ski mask.
Officers responded to the residence shortly before 6 p.m. after the resident reported being confronted by the intruder in his garage, the robber brandishing a handgun.
Police sealed off the area. A canine team was called in to search for what the resident believed were two men, with one being described as being a white male of unknown age, about 6-feet-tall, average build wearing a dark jacket. The homeowner was not able to give police much information on the second man, though both were believed to have left the area on foot.
Steady rainfall in the area made a ground search difficult and the thieves are believed to have gotten away. It was not known what, if anything, was taken from the home.
We’ll have more on this story as details emerge.
