DUI Driver Suspected In Wrong-Way Collision In Danville Tuesday
A suspected drunk driver is believed to have caused a multi-vehicle crash in Danville Tuesday after driving the wrong way on northbound I680.
Four cars were reportedly involved in the crash, with two sustaining the most serious damage. California Highway Patrol officers closed the northbound lanes of the freeway shortly after the crash was reported at 8:58pm.
One person reportedly exhibiting signs of intoxication was prevented from leaving the scene. At least one other person was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

Pretty infuriating. Completely preventable. I hope the injured are ok. And I hope someone shows your picture to the driver so they can see what they caused. In fact, good job on that photo. Really gives one an idea of the magnitude.

Interestingly, the photo also triggered a few conversations last night with folks who have found themselves in similar situations, which was illuminating. Luckily, we believe all injuries out there were minor in nature.
I hope the injured are okay too. As far as showing the picture to the driver who caused this preventable crash, it might sink in if the person isn’t an alcoholic in denial.
