“Hugging Bandit” Strikes Again In San Ramon; Jewelry Taken

Police in San Ramon are investigating the theft of an expensive necklace taken when a stranger approached and hugged the older victim at around 9:35a.m., unfastening the jewelry and fleeing in a waiting black sedan.

The vehicle was last seen on Davona Drive heading toward Alcosta Boulevard.

The victim, taken by surprise as so many others have been surprised and victimized, was shaken but unhurt.
