A Transitional Photo Of Sorts In Walnut Creek

Usually, when police-type people are yelling at one of our lensmen it’s usually with something like “Get back!” or “Come down off that roof, I don’t care if it IS a better shot!”

But when photographer Sean McDonough spotted Officer Alina Mendoza today he learned she is trading her law enforcement career for one in nursing, McDonough asking colleagues Stefan Overton and Lexi Belligan to flank Mendoza for a fare-thee-well photo.

So we break from our usual policy of not running posed shots in favor of breaking news but we’re making an exception for this crew of people in blue. Good luck to you all but especially to Alina as she’ll be cracking the books again, soon.

Good luck, Alina!

  1. Nice tribute! We wish her best in her new endeavors of also helping people! Thankfully, a nurse gets a lot of thanks most the time, while a police officer does not… unfortunatey. . especially in the current climate.
