Poorly reported. Was not “AT” Ygnacio Valley Road and N. Broadway. Once updated with the address it was more properly Ygnacio Valley “BETWEEN” N.Broadway and Civic.
Couldn’t find that big redwood tree anywhere near N Broadway on google street view. Glad the tree is OK.

Close enough for government work. Lighten up, Francis

Just to clear things up: the crash ended up approximately 200 feet from the intersection mentioned in the story and just a few feet from the wall of the carwash that sits — brace yourself — on the corner lot of that very intersection.

The location was reported exactly as provided by the Police and Fire Department (both Govt agencies), who, for all their faults, managed to find the location… quickly. If you consider that poor reporting perhaps there is a news site that better suits your needs? You do seem to spend a lot of time here but there is one just to the north that comes to mind. 73, Terry. Or as we say in radio: “thanks for the QRM.”

(QRM = man-made interference… in this case, you.)

My friend’s son isn’t. I’m glad the tree is. I wish he was too.

What kind of human being says they are glad a tree is ok when another human being died. That was someone’s son, someone friend, someone’s coworker, a partner, a nephew, a cousin. Have some decency or go find somewhere else to troll about crash reporting not being to your liking. What a poor excuse for a human being you are.

That part of the block seems snake bit. The building with the wig shop/hair extensions has been crashed into at least three times, and this latest crash nearly took out the memorial to the young lady who crashed there last year. It doesn’t help that drivers treat YVR as an ersatz freeway. Poor traffic design?

Thank you for “ersatz.” We’ve always liked the word but don’t see it very much any more.
