Concord PD Investigating Auto Vs. Pedestrian Collision Friday

CPD is currently investigating a “serious” auto versus pedestrian collision near the intersection of Concord Avenue and the SR242 north on-ramp.

A pedestrian walking in the area was hit and reportedly badly injured at approximately 5:20 p.m. Police have closed down a portion of the roadway to facilitate their investigation.

In a release, police said to expect partial and/or full lane closures over the next several hours (8:09 p.m.) It was advised that motorists avoid the area.
