Antioch Man Arrested In Connection With Concord Double Shooting Wednesday

Concord and Antioch police have captured a man suspected of a double shooting inside a Concord apartment on Meadow Lane early Wednesday.

Investigators determined that the suspected gunman was known to both victims and that the motive for the shooting was Domestic Violence. Officers, led by special weapons police, located and arrested 20-year-old Demaria Gipson of Antioch later that same evening.

Gipson has been booked into the Contra Costa County Jail and the investigation into the shooting is continuing. The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office in the coming days, according to police. No word was given on the condition of the two victims, described only as a minor and an adult female.
