A Shelter In Place order was put into effect Wednesday after a man with encroaching personal issues took to his vehicle in the area of Paraiso and Everett in Danville – and declined police requests that he exit the vehicle.

The resulting standoff, which started shortly after 3 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m., drew large numbers of police and support vehicles before it was over.

No injuries were reported.
