Officers arriving on scene at 7:30 a.m. contacted two men from San Francisco in a nearby car, determining that the vehicle had been reported stolen.

A search of the car uncovered a handgun and what police described as a large quantity of stolen property – allegedly taken during a string of car burglaries in a neighboring city.

Both suspects were arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail. Their names were not given.
