Fire At Concord Construction Project Grows To 2-Alarms Thursday
Fire investigators are picking through the debris of a fire which burned through much of a 3-story apartment building Thursday – the structure at Esperanza Drive and Willow Pass Road under construction at the time.
Units from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were notified of the blaze shortly before midnight Thursday, arriving to find a column of fire burning through all three floors of the 3-story structure.
A second alarm was requested as on-scene commanders determined a need for more crews and apparatus.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
