The NorCal Kid’s Triathlon, sponsored by the Orinda Community Foundation, is an annual event held at Miramonte High School in Orinda. This region-wide event raises funds for the Orinda Community Foundation, and all proceeds raised flow back into the local community in the form of grants to local youth and senior charities.
This “event” introduces the sport of triathlon to our young people in a safe and supportive environment. This race can be whatever kids want it to be – a chance to challenge themselves to something they’ve never done before; an opportunity for healthy competition between friends and family, or simply a way to get out to enjoy a unique neighborhood gathering while supporting a great cause and helping give back to their community.
The race ends in the Miramonte High School stadium under a huge arch, with family and friends cheering on finishers. Complimentary food and beverages are available for participants, and of course, awards are offered for top finishers!
